Customized Therapeutic Massage
This type of massage is tailored to your own needs and is a combination of the techniques I provide which are listed below. Depending on what your body needs, I will focus only on areas that are a concern to you.
Deep Tissue Massage
The Therapist uses a combination of different techniques that brings softness to the deeper layers of fascia and muscle. Mana Lomi, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point Therapy, and other deep modalities are used to improve muscular tension, stress, and postural irregularities. This has been proven to help chiropractic adjustments last longer & be more effective.
Athletes have fewer injuries and perform better if they receive this treatment before and after their events. Cross fiber massage and assisted passive and active stretching will greatly reduce tension and lactic acid, so athletes are less tight and sore. It encourages the alignment & integrity of large muscle groups and joints
Silicon cups in a variety of sizes are used. These type are easy to create gentle to firm suction. The therapist will use them in a gliding fashion, may leave them for short (shorter than 5 minutes) periods on certain areas. Long-time customers are reporting a dramatic improvement in results since including these in their sessions.
The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, yet effective technique that assists in releasing neck pain, back pain, migraines, neurological disorders like Autism, Anxiety, and Depression. It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. This balances the fight or flight and calm states. This therapy provides a very soothing and healing experience. Very light pressure and hand positions are located at the head and tail of the patient. The patient is completely clothed for this session.
Myofascial Release Massage
Fascial tissue is a white membrane that encases every muscle, tendon and organ in your body. It serves as a lubricant but with physical and emotional trauma, habitual patterns, disease and the desiccation of tissue that can accompany the aging process, fascia can become hard, rigid, short, adhesive and inelastic. With the technique, the strokes will help lengthen, stretch, soften, and the fascia will become more supple, therefore allowing more flexibility and better alignment.
Relax on the massage chair while fully clothed. Techniques utilize compression, trigger point, kneading and stretching. Chair massage is focused on the back, shoulders, neck, head, arms, and hands. No oil is used, possible light lotion for the neck.
Pregnancy Massage (Safe after the first Trimester.)
Pregnancy is a time when a woman’s body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Pregnancy massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. It also encourages better muscular alignment and provides stress relief. The benefits are profound, including the relief of joint pain due to the extra weight of a growing fetus.
